To protect and ensure the sustainability of coal supply for domestic interest, especially for the supply of electricity, every year the Government of Indonesia through the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (“MEMR”) issues a decree on a minimum percentage of domestic produced coal that should be allocated for domestic interest, named Domestic Market Obligation (“DMO”). What was issued by the MEMR this year?
One of HPRP Partners, Hendra Ong, and an Associate Lawyer, Nadya Vera Simanjuntak, have prepared an executive summary on what the MEMR has issued recently with regard to the DMO, which can be downloaded here.
