Danny Bonar Sinaga is Partner of Hanafiah Ponggawa & Partners (HPRP). Having more than 14 years experience in the Indonesian legal sector, Danny has extensive experience across a wide variety of industries in corporate and commercial, banking and finance, commercial litigation, and the resources and infrastructure practices.
Danny has successfully led a number of key projects in HPRP’s Corporate and Commercial and Resources and Infrastructure groups for major international and multinational companies, such as Golar LNG Energy and its group companies, M3nergy Berhad, Ramba Energy Group, Mitsui-Soko, Co., Ltd., Marubeni Corporation, Reignwood International Investment Group Company, Wilton Resources Corporation Limited, PT PGN LNG Indonesia and PT Siemens Indonesia.
Danny also advises clients in various industries such as mining, shipping, oil & gas, and consumer goods and finance-based industries. Among significant engagements, he has assisted with comprehensive legal services for a long term Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) and Mooring time charter worth USD500 million known as the West Java FSRU Project, acquisition transactions with different legal structures to complete, financing of FPSO projects, various establishment and joint venture assistance, and vessel sale and purchase transactions including related financing and guarantees, as well as legal assistance on listing in the relevant stock exchange through RTO (Reverse Take Over).
Prior to joining HPRP in 2007, Danny practiced law successively in top-tier Jakarta law firms for five years focusing on corporate and commercial litigation practices.
Danny holds a Bachelor of Law degree (S.H.) from Universitas Padjadjaran, Bandung, Indonesia. As a professional lawyer, he is a registered Advocate with PERADI (Indonesian Advocate Association).
