His work in the Indonesia Air Law Society (Masyarakat Hukum Udara / MHU) has provided Andre Rahadian, a Partner in HPRP, with more extensive insights about the legal aspects and regulations of the aviation industry.
In an interview recently with Angkasa Magazine (2/12), an aviation magazine in Indonesia, he said that both parties in aviation contracts should be in an equal position, because even if manufacturers are now the stronger no one knows what will happen in the future. “We just have to be bold”, he affirmed. He added that Indonesian airlines are often considered to be small airlines because of their lack of capital, for instance. Yet whatever the manufacturers say about the lack of capital, there’s no guarantee that they will continue to be major manufacturers. “There’s nothing too big to fail in manufacturing,” he said. In the legal industry, even though law firms and lawyers are assisting one party, it has to be fair so the transaction will run well.
The article also tells about Andre’s career as a lawyer, his passion for aviation law, and his involvement in MHU.
