HPRP welcomed law students from universities in Indonesia to its office on a law student visit (21/9). As part of the Business Law Competition activities of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia, the visit was aimed at the students getting an idea of working in a law firm. On this occasion, Partners and Associates of HPRP shared their experiences and insightson how to become a good lawyer.
In the welcoming speech, Fabian Pascoal, Senior Partner of HPRP, emphasized the importance of networking in business and work. “The best time to make friends is before we need them. Networking should start to be developed since when you’re still in school. Making the acquaintances of your classmates as many as you could possibly reach in the school years. In the future, they could be people who help you in your career and life. In life, it is always good to know some people who know some people,” he said.
Al Hakim Hanafiah, Senior Partner of HPRP explained, “Besides the visit, we also welcome law students in our office in an internship program that has been running for a number of years. We are delighted to be able to share not only legal knowledge but also how to succeed in working as a good lawyer to the students as future lawyers. The program is part of our commitment to contributing to national legal developments.”
More than 30 law students from Universitas Indonesia (Jakarta), Universitas Negeri Sebelas Maret (Purwokerto), Universitas Diponegoro (Semarang), Universitas Katolik Atmajaya (Jakarta), and UniversitasTarumanegara (Jakarta) joined the visit were excited by this new experience.
