The Government of Indonesia has been making many efforts to attract more foreign direct investment to Indonesia. To this end, the President of Indonesia has recently issued a new regulation on the utilization of expatriates which simplifies the licensing process for the employment of expatriates in Indonesia. By expanding employment opportunities, the Government expects to increase foreign investment in Indonesia.
